TFP.me is the most accurate and complete search engine for the Internet modeling and photography community. It was created by members of the community, the programming team behind Model Insider, to be a comprehensive resource for those looking for models, photographers, makeup artists, or other members of the community.

Actually, no! We realized that all of the information necessary to build a search index is freely available via public API (Application Programming Interface) calls from the major (and many minor) search engines. This allows us to build a comprehensive index without the need for massive spidering of industry sites.

TFP, or Time For Print is the Internet term for the majority of shoots and projects scheduled via online portfolio sites. Since this search engine is designed to help facilitate those projects, the name made perfect sense to us.

No. That wouldn't be possible unless we were Google or Bing. And since we only build an index of links to existing content, that allows us to use our API system to gather the data we need. We do not copy any content, in fact. We build a rather complex database of keywords and what we call relevancy values for them. When you do a search, we run an algorithm that builds a list of the pages that we think are the most relevant to your search and return the URL. This is the same with forum posts, members of sites and content web sites. We only index public information, and the majority of our algorithm's strength also relies on other search sites to validate our assumptions. You will notice that our site does not offer cached copies of sites, for example, and any images we index are direct URLs to public storage. Our database is big, but it's not that big.

At this time, we have indexed the membership at Model Insider, One Model Place, Model Mayhem, Model Brigade, Model Coast and PureStorm. We have also indexed the forums at Model Insider, Model Mayhem and Model Brigade. We will be adding more sites constantly as we identify them and verify that we can properly and accurately index them via our API system.

Since we only index information that is available to the public, we have chosen to not index the casting calls on the major portfolio sites. Model Mayhem requires that you be a member to view their castings, so the major search engines that we use do not have that data. As such, neither do we. That said, if you represent an industry site and you would like us to index your data for more visibility, please get in touch. We'd be happy to do so.

Absolutely. If the site is public, we'll look into adding them to the search database. In other words, if Google or Bing can index them, so can we.
